Temporary road closures in city centre

Drivers are alerted that three temporary road closures will be in place in Inverness over the next few weeks to allow for necessary work to safely take place.

From Monday 17 May to Friday 21 May, part of Leachkin Road will be closed to traffic during the hours of 9.30am to 4.30pm. The section of Leachkin Road affected will be from between its junction with Kinmylies Way and its roundabout junction with Lawers Way.  An alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians will be available and sign-posted.

Work will also start on Monday 17 May to replace a gas main along part of Green Drive.  A temporary road closure will be in place from its junction with Culduthel Road and its junction with Balnakyle Road until Friday 28 May.  A signposted alternative route for drivers will be available but access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

The third closure runs from 11pm on Friday 14 May until 7am the following morning when Strothers Lane will be closed to drivers between its junction with Academy Street and its junction with Farraline Park Access Road.  An alternative route will be available for all vehicles, including buses. This temporary closure will be repeated from 11pm on Saturday 15 May to 7am on Sunday 16 May.
