Life on the edge - a guided walk with Council Ranger

Highland Council Countryside Ranger John Orr is leading a guided walk from Ardersier Common to Fort George and back on Sunday 30th May, from 2 till 4pm.

This 3 mile walk will follow the shoreline from Ardersier to Fort George and return through Ardersier Common.

John Orr, Countryside Ranger for Inverness East and Nairn said, “This walk will take in the shingle ridges and upper shore of the seafront as well as the more sheltered areas further inland so there is a wealth of habitats to explore and plants and animals to look at. We will also be investigating some of the history of Ardersier and Fort George.”

Meet at Ardersier picnic site car park, just beyond the village on the road to Fort George. For more info call John on 01463 702932 No unaccompanied children please. The cost of the event for adults is £3, children and concessions £2.

The aim of the Highland Council Countryside Rangers is to promote public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and to conserve wildlife.
