Pupils produce illustrated books
Cromarty Primary School P3s, P4s and P7s have been busy designing and illustrating their own books with the help of visiting Printmaker and Illustrator Hannah Rye and Teacher of Art, Marion Tonkin.
Hannah has been working in Cromarty over October, through the Cromarty Arts Trust's annual Student Prize, for new graduates of Scotland's Art Schools. With her help the pupils learnt about the work which goes into creating illustrations and then had the opportunity to design and produce their own illustrated books.
Acting Head Teacher Henri Shepherd said: “Hannah and Marion really inspired the children and I would like to thank them both for their encouragement and creative energy. The children enjoyed learning new skills and their handiwork has been admired by the whole school.”
