Woodland Treasure Trail
The Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers have organised some May Day fun this bank holiday weekend with a treasure trail in Smithton Woods on Monday 1st May.
Woodland plants and animals will be giving clues to help people tract down the treasure as they make their way around the woodlands.
Ranger John Orr said: “This is a fun family event involving lots of hands-on activities which will appeal particularly to younger children. Smithton Woods has lots of nooks and crannies for hiding secret treasure and the local wildlife will give everyone a hand to find it.”
The event takes places from 2.00-3.00pm and is free of charge but places must be booked in advance by telephoning 01463 724312.
