Council website back on line

The Highland Council’s web site: / is back on line after engineers worked round the clock to repair damage caused by a flood at Inverness College, where the server was based.

Also restored is all external e-mail and all internet-hosted applications.

Schools are still unable to access web based applications. This includes the schools closure web site http://www.schoolclosures.highlandschools.org.uk/ .

Head Teachers are being urged to update the Schools Information Line as early as possible. If a member of the public is having difficulty in finding out about their school, they can phone the Council Service Centre on 01349 886606.  The Service Centre will again open early tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7 am.
