Motorists warned of disruption caused by resurfacing work at Culloden Road, Balloch, Inverness

The Highland Council is warning motorists in Inverness of disruption to traffic movement on Monday (11 October) as the result of essential resurfacing road works in the Balloch area of the city.

A temporary road closure is required on Culloden Road, Balloch,  from 7pm to 11pm to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing. The closure is between the junction with Underwood Place and above the junction with Cherry Park.

Preparatory work and initial resurfacing will commence at 8am that morning so motorists should anticipate significant delays as traffic controls will be in operation.

A Council spokesman said: “We would encourage the use of alternative routes and  residents should make alternative arrangements should they require vehicle access during the closure period. Bus services will also be affected during the closure to the top of Culloden Road in Balloch and beyond towards Sunnyside.”
