Inverness road works

Starting on Monday 18th October, Scotland Gas Networks (SGN), the gas pipeline operator, will be replacing the gas mains on Old Edinburgh Road, Inverness, between its junction with Culduthel Road and its junction with Southside Road. This is the final phase of a programme of works to replace the gas mains in the local area. The excellent progress made so far by the works contractor has allowed the final phase to be brought forward by three weeks and as a result it is likely that final completion will now be well in advance of the Christmas holiday period.

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in operation and a diversion route for vehicles will be signposted. Access to local residential and business premises will be maintained, although this may be restricted at times. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times
