Young readers to receive space hop reading challenge awards

Enthusiastic young readers who used Dingwall Library and Dingwall Mobile throughout the summer have been invited to The Highland Council’s annual reading challenge award ceremony in their area.

For this year’s space-themed challenge, “Space Hop”, the children read six library books, collected stickers and took part in fun activities.

An awards ceremony will be held in Dingwall Academy Theatre on Thursday 9 September from 6.30 – 7.30pm to celebrate the achievement of the 100 plus children who completed this year’s challenge.

Hayley Savage, Eden Court Drama Worker will run a space-based activity, and each child will be presented with a medal and certificate.
