Tribute paid to council worker killed in Dingwall accident
Tribute has been paid to a member of The Highland Council staff, who died when she was involved in an accident involving a car while she was walking through Cromartie Car Park in Dingwall at lunch time on Monday.
Mrs Jean Bridgeford was a clerical assistant with the Education Culture and Sport Service based in the Old Library, Dingwall. In recent times, she had been providing business support to High Life Highland, the new arms length company which will deliver community learning and leisure services on behalf of the Council.
She had been employed by the Council since 2000.
Mr Ian Murray, Head of Community Learning and Leisure, said: "Jean was an enthusiastic, popular and highly valued member of our business support team. As she has previously worked in Tain and Alness as well as more recently in Dingwall, her loss is felt by colleagues across mid and east Ross. Our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time."
