Flooding forces closure of Inverness Town Hall

Inverness Town Hall will be out of commission in the run up to Christmas as the result of a flooding incident this morning.

A radiator beside the farside steps to the stage was damaged during the ongoing works to replace the Town Hall windows.  This resulted in water gathering below the stage and leaking down into the Provost’s room and the Social Work offices on the ground floor.

As a result of the damage to the floor and the need for repairs the hall will be out of commission until Christmas, at least.
