Lighting column on Millburn Road, Inverness:  Our lighting team are removing brackets and lanterns from 7 10m high lighting columns on Millburn Road, Inverness near the Harbour Road roundabout. This results from the collapse of one 10m lighting column into the yard of Robertsons at the Harbour Road/Millburn Road Roundabout.

Service Point closures:  Mallaig, Fort Augustus, Gairloch, Lochcarron .

Service Centre:  Our Service Centre, Alness, which handles telephone calls, will be open until 6 pm and will be open between 9 am and noon tomorrow (Saturday).

A 82 closure:  The programmed closure of the A 82 between Fort William and Glasgow due to the removal of a dangerous rockface 7 miles south of Fort William has been brought forward to 3 pm today.  The road had been closed yesterday due to a separate incident nearby involving a landslide but re-opened between noon and 3 pm today.  The road had been due to close at 10 pm tonight.  The road will reopen on Monday at 6 am.

A82 at Corran Ferry (partial opening between noon and 3pm)

Beallach Na Ba (Applecross to Tornacross)

Orkney - Unclassified road at Weyland Bay, Kirkwall

B9047 Hoy to South Walls at the causeway

High winds caution on Kessock and Skye Bridges.

Other routes are affected by snow, ice or surface water and drivers are urged to take extra care.
