Temporary road closure on the U1671 Bunoich Brae road

Drivers are being advised that The Highland Council will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing works on Old Main Road (Bunoich Brae) on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th July on the section of road north of the A82 Trunk Road.
 
Works include full width resurfacing of ‘Bunoich Brae’ over an 80 metre length from its junction with A82 Trunk Road and additional localised patch repairs.
 
Due to the nature of the works it is necessary to temporarily close the U1671 road from its junction with the A82 for approximately 80 metres in a northwest direction.  This restriction will come into place at 8am on Thursday 14th.

A diversion for drivers will be in place via Old Main Road from its northern junction with the A82(T) adjacent to the Inchnacardoch Hotel. Emergency access and localised pedestrian and cycle access will be controlled by the contractor.

The Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these essential works. The road will reopen for all traffic by 4pm on Friday 15th July.
