Tenders sought for repair work to Logie Bridge

The Highland Council’s TEC Services are inviting tenders to carry out permanent repair work to Logie Bridge which spans the river Findhorn on the A939 Nairn to Grantown road.

Traffic on the three span listed structure built by Thomas Telford have been restricted to a single lane since a masonry failure on the parapet of the bridge occurred earlier this year.

The Highland Council’s TEC Services have been liaising with Historic Scotland and listed building consent to carry out the work has been granted.  The scheme of repairs includes for the introduction of full time traffic lights for users of the bridge.

Tenders for the work have been issued and are due to be returned by mid July. Once the contract is awarded the Council will advise road users of the schedule of works which are expected to take place before the autumn.
