Pennyland pupils see artwork turned into banner
An award winning mural designed by the P7 pupils of Pennyland Primary School promoting the recycling message has been used to create an eye-catching banner which will be on display at the Council’s Recycling Centre in Thurso.
The Recycling Mural competition, run by the Council’s Waste Aware Team, proved to be very popular with 55 primary schools submitting a total of 119 entries, with a wide array of styles and ideas.
Pupils from the school visited the Thurso Recycling Centre on Wednesday 29th June to unveil their winning entry. Earlier in the month pupils from North Primary School in Wick, who were also winners, saw their design unveiled at the Wick Recycling Centre.
