New Head Teacher Appointments

The Highland Council has appointed a new head teacher at Grantown Grammar School. She is Mrs Irene Carson, who has been Acting Head Teacher of the school since August 2006.  Her substantive post, which she has held since 2002, is Depute Head Teacher at Millburn Academy.  Prior to appointment as Assistant Head Teacher at Millburn Academy in 1994, Mrs Carson taught in a number of schools in Grampian Region.

New Head Teachers have also been appointed to Cannich Bridge Primary School and Beauly Primary School.

Mrs Sylvia Fraser has been appointed to the post of Head Teacher at Cannich Bridge Primary School.  She has been Acting Head Teacher at Cannich Bridge Primary School and has been a teacher at the school since 1991.       

Mrs Margaret Matheson has been appointed to the post of Head Teacher at Beauly Primary School.  She has been Acting Head Teacher at Beauly Primary School since August 2006.  She had previously been Acting Head Teacher at Smithton Primary School, Inverness.
