Fusion event in Dingwall this weekend

Over the winter month’s young people from the Dingwall area have been able to try something new at the activity based Fusion nights and this weekend sees another fun packed night at Dingwall Leisure Centre.

Fusion, which is a project for 12-19 year olds, is organised by The Highland Council’s Youth Workers and aims to provide young people with the opportunity to increase their skills and wellbeing by taking part in a range of fun and active sessions.  Fusion also provides a safe environment on a Saturday night for young people to meet up with their friends and hang out.

On Saturday 19 March from 6pm to 10pm there will be something on offer for everyone as the programme includes football, body combat, the Olympian inflatable water obstacle course, baking, a nail bar and an art workshop.

Ross Women’s Aid’s local youth worker, Mhairi Hendry, will also be at Fusion with a information stall on healthy relationships.  The youth development team will also be conducting a youth consultation which aims to capture valuable information on how the young people feel about their community.
