Women reaching high in Nairn.

Issued by Charity - Women Influencing Change

An Inverness based charity called “Women Influencing Change” has been delivering a programme called “Reaching High” across the Highlands.

It is a new unique course which runs for six weeks and which helps women increase confidence.

“Reaching High” is run by Elsie Normington and Liz Syred offering training activities and one to one life coaching sessions. It is really innovative, unique and has seen women move forward quickly in their lives.

Seven women recently concluded their attendance at a six course held in The Highland Council’s Nairn Adult Basic Education (ABE) premises where they took part in group activities and were offered one-to-one sessions to help them identify their goals before being set weekly tasks to turn good intentions into reality.

Everyone who attended enjoyed the course and said they had indeed moved forward in their personal lives and felt more confident. One learner said: "I have found confidence, and with using affirmations, it has helped me to apply and get a place at college and has helped me find myself."
