Cancellation of La Baule twinning visit

The proposed visit to Inverness of a 33-strong delegation from La Baule, France, to mark 30 years of town twinning with Inverness, has had to be postponed because of the volcanic ash cloud, which is causing disruption to air travel.

The uncertainty over flights has forced the French party to cancel their visit which was due to begin on Friday 27 May.
