Included in the plans are improvements for the Council Buildings junction of High Street, Dingwall, with the A862 Relief Road.
The project comprises the construction of 0.9 km of 7.3m to 10m wide carriageway with two 2.0m wide footways/cycleways and improvements to the Council Buildings junction.
This will include earthworks, drainage, structures, public utility services diversions, street lighting, landscaping, signing, road marking and accommodation works.
To mitigate against flood risk concerns, a flood protection bund is included in the project proposals which is to be constructed adjacent to the existing bund at the Dingwall Business Park.
The proposed project is to be undertaken in two phases with work on the £1 million first phase, near Dingwall Academy, hoping to start in the spring of next year.
