Retiral of long-serving community works manager
Iain Dyce, Community Works Manager for Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, based in Kingussie, latterly in Aviemore has retired after 42 years in local government, the last 37 years in Badenoch and Strathspey.
Iain's career began in 1969 as an apprentice Civil Engineering Technician with Inverness County Council based in Inverness. He moved to Kingussie in 1974 as Assistant Divisional Surveyor. Studying with the Open University in his own time he graduated with a BSc degree in 1997. He has seen several Council reorganisations and in 2002 he became Community Works Manager for Nairn / Badenoch & Strathspey.
Iain said: "I have never regretted moving to the area and it has been a privilege to serve the local communities."
