Driving Ambition - Young Driver Intervention

Sixth year pupils from Lochaber High and Mallaig High will be attending a Driving Ambition road safety event at Lochaber High School on Wednesday (7 September) to gain information and guidance needed before, during and after they learn to drive.

Driving Ambition is a multi-agency event which has been running since 2007 in the Highland area.  The agencies/people who are involved with the creation and development of this event are The Highland Council’s Road Safety Unit, Northern Constabulary, Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service, Red Cross, Driving Instructors and presentation relevant to young drivers.  Pupils are also shown a two part DVD recounting a story of a crash victim from Ullapool.

Information about Driving Ambition dates is also on the Northern Constabulary Facebook page and Twitter.
