The Vikings are coming!
Vikings will be invading Fort William as part of Highland Archaeology Festival on Saturday 1st October.
Come along and join in the fun at King George V Park, Fort William from 11 am to 2pm. Experience life as a Viking and help build a Viking longship.
The Highland Council’s Senior Countryside Ranger Eilidh-Ann Madden said: “This will be a fun day for children to travel back in time and learn some of the skills that the Vikings needed for everyday life - from milking a cow and grinding corn to reading runes and building a longship for sailing the high seas!”
The event is suitable for children aged 6 – 12 years. Please bring a packed lunch. As places on this event are limited early booking is essential. To book a place and get more details telephone: 01397 705922.
