Sharing services at Aviemore
A new partnership is being introduced in Aviemore on Monday 13 August 2012 when the public will be able to source advice and information on Library and Council matters from under the one roof.
The Highland Council is moving its Service Point and Registration Service from the Service Point in Milton Park Aviemore into the nearby High Life Highland Library located in the new Primary School at Muirton, Aviemore
The Service Point will be open Monday – Friday between 10am – 12.30 pm and 1.30pm to 4pm.
To allow the Council to transfer its operation, the Service Point will be closed on Friday 10 August.
This is the fourth sharing agreement between High Life Highland and Highland Council Service Points following earlier sharing arrangements in Alness, Invergordon and Lochcarron
Councillor David Fallows, Chairman of the Finance, Housing and Resources Committee, said: “The sharing of services will provide an improved facility for the local community while still delivering the essential services of the Libraries and The Highland Council.”
Recently, the Council has retained the Customer Service Excellence standard in recognition of the service it provides via face to face contact with the public at its network of 35 Service Points, via telephone at its Service Centre in Alness and via the Registration Service.
The Customer Service Excellence standard has replaced the Charter Mark standard, which the council has held since 1999. The new standard is more exacting than the Charter Mark standard and ensures an improved service for all customers contacting the network.
