Highland Council winter road condition reports for 10 December 2012.

Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Monday 10 December 2012 are as follows:

Inverness
There was widespread grey frost plus icy patches on roads this morning but all have now been gritted. Posted: 10/12/2012 12:05

Caithness and North Sutherland
Lots of frost and black ice around the area, especially on inland routes. Treated priority 1, 2 and 3 routes. Some inland priority 4 routes checked as road surface temperatures slow to rise. Posted: 10/12/2012 10:40

Skye and Lochalsh
Icy stretches gritting priority 1, 2 and 3 routes. Posted: 10/12/2012 10:12

Lochaber
Ice and frost on the South and West of the area, all roads treated. Drier inland with some routes part treated. Posted: 10/12/2012 09:32

Nairn
Icy stretches gritting priority 1, 2 and 3 routes. No gritting action on the footways.

Mid and West Ross 
Very frosty throughout area. Icy patches / stretches where water is seeping or lying. Bealach Na Ba still closed. Posted: 10/12/2012 08:22

South Sutherland and Easter Ross
Very icy this morning around whole area, all routes being treated in priority order.
