Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Tuesday 11 December 2012 are as follows:

Caithness and North Sutherland
Patches of white frost and icy at seepage areas, especially side roads, treated as necessary. Treatment extending onto some priority 4 routes as road surface temperatures remain low. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:36

Badenoch and Strathspey
Damp with frost and ice patches 10g/sm salt in most places 20g/sm where needed. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:29

Nairn
Stretches of grey frost, gritting priority 1 and 2 routes. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:25

Mid and West Ross
Very frosty with ice forming where water is lying or where seepage occurs. All routes being treated in priority order. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:18

South Sutherland and Easter Ross
Good sparkle on all routes this morning all routes being treated in priority order. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:12

Skye and Lochalsh
No problems reported from crews. Priority 1, 2 and 3 routes being treated to deal with frost and icy patches from seepage areas. Crews will carry on and patrol all priority 4 routes to treat any problem areas as required. Posted: 11/12/2012 08:08
