New Head Teacher For Dornoch Primary School

Ms Jane Mason from Linlithgow has been appointed as the new head teacher of Dornoch Primary School in Sutherland and will take up her post on Monday 27 February.

Ms Mason is currently the Depute Head Teacher at Beancross Primary School in Grangemouth. She said: "I am very much looking forward to starting my new job and moving to the area."

She takes over as head of the 180 pupil school from Mr Richard Bramley who retired on the 8th January.

Councillor Duncan Allan, Provost of Dornoch said: "I very much welcome the appointment of Ms Mason. She takes over a school renowned for its educational standards and especially its prowess in sport. I look forward to her taking the school forward in these areas."
