Positive start to the Sandown Charrette
Following the launch evening hosted by Chief Planner at the Scottish Government, Jim McKinnon, the design charrette to discuss the future of Sandown in Nairn successfully got underway today.
With a steady flow of visitors, the first half of the day was spent examining the site’s assets and context including discussion about what makes the site special and its landscape framework. This led to initial suggestions and ideas being drawn up with the facilitators, Ironside Farrar, encouraged by such a high level of positive input from those attending.
As many people as possible are encouraged to attend over the next two days – the outcomes from today’s sessions will be available to view in the Nairn Community Centre this evening.
