Abnormal load leaving Invergordon Docks

A 260 tonne abnormal load will be leaving Invergordon Docks at 0800 on Saturday 7 July and travelling to Beauly sub station.

The route to be taken is B817 (Shore Road) to Alness and joining the A9. Once on the A9 it then makes for Tore and onto the A832 towards Muir of Ord, past the Black Isle show ground, then left on the A862 to Beauly sub station which is on the A831 (Cannich Road).

Because of the excessive weight of the load, it shall be very slow moving. Officers from Northern Constabulary will be escorting the load to ensure the safety of the travelling public and to minimise the inevitable traffic disruption.
This is the first of four loads which will be moving in the coming weeks. The second one is scheduled for Saturday 14th July.
