Shennachie stroll, guided walk with Council Ranger
Highland Council’s Countryside Ranger John Orr is leading a guided walk to Shennachie on Sunday 10th June, 11am – 3pm. The world famous river Findhorn has attracted people and wildlife for thousands of years.
John said: “This walk takes us up Tom na Slaite above the river Findhorn at 426m then back down to the ruined croft at Shennachie at the river’s edge. The hill gives great views along the Findhorn with spectacular glacial scenery and a wealth of wildlife all of which has connections with the upper reaches of the river “. The walk is 5km or 3 miles and is a little steep in places
The walk costs £5 adults and £3children and concessions. Please bring walking boots, waterproofs and some lunch. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information and to book a place please phone the rangers on 01463 710786.
