Temporary Road Closure In Inverness

The Highland Council is warning of a temporary road closure in Inverness and advising drivers to use an alternative route.

Canal Road will be closed to all through traffic between its junction with Clachnaharry Road (A862) and its junction with the Canal Road Cul-de-sac (numbers 2, 3 and 4) from 7.00am on Monday 20 February until 18.00 on Saturday 4 March.

During the closure signs will be in place to guide all vehicular traffic along an alternative route using Clachnaharry Road, King Brude Road, General Booth Road and part of Canal Road.

Pedestrian access and access for emergency vehicles will not be affected.

The temporary closure is to allow Scotia Gas Networks to carry out work.
