Ward Forum to focus on the ambulance services in Easter Ross

Members of the Public are invited to come along to the joint Cromarty Firth and Tain and Easter Ross Ward Forum due to be held on Wednesday 20th June 2012.

The forum will look at all aspects of the ambulance service, ranging from the road ambulance service, the provision of patient transport and also the next generation of air ambulance services.

Councillor Maxine Smith said: “All of us will know someone who needs some or all of these services and of course all of us may at some point need these services ourselves. Officers from the Scottish Ambulance Service have agreed to attend so if you have any queries or views you want to share please do come along.”

Garry Fraser, General Manager, Air Ambulance, Scottish Ambulance Service, said: “We are implementing a range of improvements and enhancements across our operations and would welcome the opportunity to explain these to the community.  It is also an opportunity to listen to the views of the community which will inform future developments.”

The Ward Forum is being held in the Mercat Centre, Munro Crescent, Milton from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with a 20-minute slot allocated at the end of the meeting for questions from the public.  Teas and coffees will be available from 7pm to 7.30pm.

Ward Forums have been set up across  the Highlands to help you have your say in what's happening in your area. The forums meet regularly in public led by the Ward Elected Members in each area. Representatives of Community Councils and partner agencies, such as the police also attend the forums.  If you have an enquiry about your Forum; would like to submit questions in advance of the meeting; or have any special requirements/needs to help you take part, please contact Helen Ross, Senior Ward Manager at Drummuie, Golspie, KW10 6TA by email, helen.ross@highland.gov.uk.   or on tel.
