Fortrose Academy wins top national enterprise awards

Innovation from Fortrose Academy has swept the boards at the Young Enterprise Scotland Awards 2012.

The school won a total of six awards including Company of the Year, Best Presentation and Link Teacher of the Year.

Their managing director also won the Institute of Directors director of the year award jointly with the managing director from another teenage company, Iconic.

Innovation's winning product was The Measure Up Cup which allows children to pour their own diluting juice by having a clear guide to the levels recommended by Robinsons and Britvic.

Extensive market research told Innovation that most children are not aware of how much concentrate they should be pouring and in practice, could not pour well.
