Armed Forces Week Nairn
The Armed Forces Week Celebrations will start in Nairn with flag raising ceremonies at both the Royal British Legion and Nairn Court House on Monday, 25th June at 10.30a.m. In attendance at the Court House will be the Lord Lieutenant, the Provost of Nairn, Nairn Ward Members, Royal British Legion, Seaforth Club, serving members and veterans from the Armed Forces and pipers.
The ceremony of lowering the flag will take place on Saturday, 30th June at 5.30p.m. at the Royal British Legion Scotland premises. On completion, there will be a dinner/dance in the Highland Hall with live music by the MacAndrew Sisters. Tickets cost £12.50.
The High Street will be closed briefly to traffic from 10.10a.m. to 10.40a.m. on Monday, 25th June and any traffic coming from the Brae and Gordon Street will be diverted via Douglas Street.
