Warning Of Delay For Drivers In Inverness

Work is scheduled to take place on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 February to complete the final surfacing of the new roundabout currently being constructed on the Inverness Southern Distributor Road.

The roundabout is located approximately mid-way between the Culduthel Road and Fairways roundabouts. Temporary traffic lights are in place but during the two days of surfacing work it will be necessary at times to stop traffic in both directions. Drivers should expect lengthy delays.

The emergency services and bus operators have been notified and warning signs for drivers will be in place by the end of this week. The contractor, Tulloch Civil Engineering, will try to keep delays to a minimum but motorists may find it easier to take an alternative route whilst the work is carried out.
