Highland Primary 6 pupils to take part in Scotland-wide Euroquiz

Highland Primary 6 pupils are to take part on Thursday (8 March) in a Scotland-wide Euroquiz organised by the award-winning Scottish European Educational Trust.

Questions in the quiz, covering history, geography, sport, culture, EU and general knowledge, will include brain teasers like:

• “Fleur Delacour from Harry Potter comes from which European country?”
• “From which EU member state does the clothes retailer H&M originate?”
• “Who is the President of the European Commission?”

If you don’t know the answers, just ask the pupils taking part in this year’s Euroquiz.

Twelve schools will be taking part in the Highland heat on the morning of the 8th March in Millburn Academy, Inverness including: Bun Sgoil Ghaidhlig Inbhir Nis; Cradlehall, Dornoch, Drakies, Kilchuimen, Kiltearn, Kinmylies, Kirkhill, Lochardil, North Kessock, Portree and Scourie Primaries.

The winning team from Highland will compete against 30 local authority teams in the national final at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on Monday 14 May 2012.
