Highland community benefit policy discussed at community workshop

Having launched  its revised Community Benefit Policy  at a conference in Inverness recently, The Highland Council is holding  a series of workshops across the Highlands  to enable local communities to debate in more detail the policy and the guidelines that support it.

A workshop will be held at Ross County Stadium, Victoria Park, Dingwall, between 10 am and 3 pm on Monday 19 March.

The policy is an important step towards securing significant local funding for communities across Highland from renewable energy developments. It raises the contribution from developers to £5,000 per MW.
