Good Practice At Conon Bridge Nursery

GOOD PRACTICE AT CONON BRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL NURSERY

In an integrated inspection by the Care Commission and HM Inspectorate of Education, the report on Conon Bridge Nursery Class identified key strengths and commended the nursery for good practice.

The 35-pupil nursery was commended for:

 Happy and confident children in their play;

 Children’s early reading and writing experiences, in which they readily engaged;

 Relationships between staff and children.

In a positive report the Inspector judged that all five key areas of the nursery represented good practice. They particularly recognised that staff knew children and families well and responded appropriately and sensitively to individual needs and staff had established good links with parents.

Staff have already begun to address the limited number of recommendations made by the Inspectors and to develop and build on the existing good practice in the nursery.

Violet McCormick, Head Teacher, said: "I am delighted that the hard work of all the nursery staff had been recognised in this positive report. We will continue to work closely with parents to improve our service even further. Our ultimate aim is to promote the highest quality nursery experience for all our pupils."
