HRH The Earl of Wessex visits Acharacle Primary
Pupils at Acharacle Primary School, West Lochaber, enjoyed a red letter day on Wednesday when they welcomed HRH The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, to their new fully sustainable school. He arrived at the school with Deputy Lord Lieutenant Iain Thornber and during a 35-minute visit spoke with pupils in their five classrooms and also unveiled a plaque and planted a tree.
Acharacle Primary School has 49 pupils, 28 in English Medium classes and 21 in Gaelic Medium classes as well as 20 pupils in the bilingual nursery.
From Acharacle, the Earl of Wessex went to Lochaline Dive Centre, and then Drimnin Chapel.
