Gas Leak at Glendoe Terrace, Inverness

Residents living in a block of flats at 60 – 82 Glendoe Terrace, Inverness, who were evacuated from their homes shortly after 9 am today (Wednesday) as the result of a gas leak in the vicinity of their homes, are being advised to call into the Merkinch Community Centre, which is being used as a reception centre, if they require assistance of any kind.

Housing and social work staff from The Highland Council will be present to assist residents, and food and hot drinks will be available.

It is estimated that 16-20 residents live in the flats.

In the interests of safety, Glendoe Terrace was closed from its junction with Benula Road for 50m towards Carse Road (B&Q) while the source of the leak was traced.
