Trial boost for local sports teams.

Local sports teams based within the boundaries of the Aviemore Community Council area, who already qualify for free use of the new synthetic pitch coming soon at the Aviemore Community Centre, are also to benefit from free use of the changing rooms and floodlights associated with the pitch for a trial period of three months.
  
This follows discussions led by the Badenoch and Strathspey Ward Members, who are very pleased with the range of opportunities for local people developing at the Community Centre.

They are keen to stimulate as much new activity as possible on the new pitch.  They see the trial extension of free use of changing and floodlighting for local teams as a good way of achieving this.

The £11.9 million new Aviemore Community School opened at the start of the new school session in August.
