Temporary city road closures for Santa fun run

The annual Inverness Santa Fun Run , organised by the charity Wild Hearts in Action, takes place on Sunday 2 December and road users are being advised of temporary closures in the city during the event.

From 12:15 to 15:00 Bught Road will be closed at its junction with Whin Park to its junction with Bught Avenue.  Access to Whin Park will be available from the junction with Glenurquhart Road. Ness Walk Upper will also be closed at its con-junction with Bught Road to its junction with Ballifeary Lane to its junction with Bishop’s Road.

From 12:30 to 14:30 Castle Road will be closed to northbound traffic between its junction with Haugh Road and its junction with Bridge Street.  Access for southbound traffic will be as normal. Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens Road will also during this period be closed to through traffic between its junction with Castle Road and its junction with Island Bank Road.

Alternative routes for vehicles will be available and drivers should follow the diversion signs.  Pedestrian access and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
