Community safety is focus of Ward Forum

Community safety will be the focus of discussion at the next Highland Council Eilean a’ Cheò Ward Forum taking place on Monday (29 October) from 2pm – 4pm in the Council Chamber, Tigh na Sgire, Portree.  Members of the public welcome are welcome to attend. 

Chief Superintendent Julian Innes will address the Forum on the National Single Police Service focusing on the local and Highland impact.  There will also be an overview given of the Single Fire and Rescue Service by Scott Hay, Area Manager – Head of Response and Resilience.  The Forum is to be chaired by Councillor Drew Millar and discussion will follow the presentations and will involve Forum members, with Community Council Chairs representing the community view.

There will be time set aside at the end of the meeting to take questions from the floor, and to address any public questions to the Forum.  Public questions should be advised in advance of the Forum in writing in order that informed responses can be given at the meeting.
