Warning To Drivers About Abnormal Load Convoy

Drivers in the Highlands are being warned about the movement of an Abnormal Load Convoy from Inverness to Fort Augustus beginning at 1:30am on Monday 17th July 2006.

The Convoy, escorted by The Northern Constabulary, will be leaving Inverness via the Scorguie and Kinmylies area and will require the temporary closure of the A82 to Northbound Traffic between Drumnadrochit and Inverness from 1:30am until approx 3:00am. Southbound Traffic can expect considerable delay. Northbound Traffic will be diverted via the A833 and A862.

The A82 between Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit will be closed to Northbound Traffic for a period of time between 3:00am and 5:00am. Southbound Traffic can expect considerable delay. Northbound Traffic will be diverted via the B862 and B851 to Inverness.
