Delay to Kingussie High School re-opening
The Highland Council is informing parents and pupils of Kingussie High School that the school will re-open to pupils on Friday 23 August. The Council apologises for this inconvenience which is due to incomplete works on construction of a new extension to the school and associated clean-up related to these works.
A Highland Council spokesperson said: “We are extremely disappointed that despite the huge efforts that have been made by many to have the school open as planned to pupils tomorrow (Wednesday 21 Aug) this is not going to be possible due to the amount of work required to set up the classrooms and the time required to allow staff to prepare for the arrival of pupils.
“Regrettably, we have had to take the decision keep the school closed to pupils until Friday 23 August. This is extremely disappointing given the level of activity which has been focused on the school and the huge progress which was made over yesterday and today.”
