New Head of Education appointed by Highland Council

Jim Steven, Head Teacher at Invergordon Acdemy has been appointed as Head of Education Services with The Highland Council’s Education, Culture and Sport Service.

Mr Steven, who starts his new employment on 23 September, will be based at the Council’s headquarters on Glenurquhart Road, Inverness.

He was Head Teacher at Invergordon Academy for the last fourteen years prior to which he served as Depute Head Teacher also at Invergordon Academy; Assistant Head Teacher at Plockton High school; Principal Teacher of Mathematics at Eyemouth High school and teacher of Mathematics at Fortrose Academy.

Mr Steven replaces Calum MacSween who is retiring.
