Inverness East District Partnership to focus on older people’s needs.
A meeting of the Inverness East District Partnership, will take place tomorrow (Friday 30 August) at 10 am in the Town Hall, Town House, Inverness.
The main items on the agenda focus on older people’s needs. The Partnership is to consider the conclusions of NHS Highland and Alzheimer Scotland joint research and will discuss the nutritional needs of frail older people. Discussions will also be aimed at increasing awareness of the support available for people with dementia and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
Partners are also looking forward to an update on the planned recruitment fair targeted on home care, which was agreed at the previous meeting.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting, which will be chaired by NHS Highland Board Member Gillian McCreath.
The Inverness East District Partnership is one of nine in The Highland Council area. The Partnerships consider issues relevant to a defined geographic and service delivery area covering both Integrated Children’s and Adult Services and are a key element of local engagement. “Inverness East” includes the school catchment areas and associated school groups of Culloden Academy, Millburn Academy and Inverness Royal Academy.
Meetings are held four times a year. Further information about the Inverness East District Partnership is on the Council’s website.
