Update 2: Notification of disruption to roads in Highlands and Islands during severe weather

Police and partners wish to provide a further update in relation to disruption on the region's roads in the current spate of adverse weather.

The A939 north of Grantown which was closed by debris on the road has now been cleared.
 
As previously stated the Kessock Bridge is closed to high sided vehicles, and both the Dornoch and Skye bridges remain closed to all vehicles.
 
The A82 at Torlundy, A830 Mallaig road, A86 Newtonmore to Laggan road, the A836 Bonar to Lairg road, approximately four miles towards Bonar Bridge, A887 four miles south of Invermorriston, A828 at Ballachulish and A87 at the Inverinate Causeway and at the Kyleachin Straightsand Grant Street in Inverness are all still closed due to fallen trees and debris. The A861 approximately half a mile south of Acharacle, towards Salen, remains affected.
 
In addition, the A82 at South Laggan outside the Corriegour Hotel is closed,the Eriskay Causeway in South Uist is also closed and the low road in Gairloch is affected by flooding. There is also a report of a fallen tree on a blind corner on the A95 between Mains of Dalvey and Cromdale.
