Leader of new Skye, Ross and Cromarty Area Committee elected

The Leader of The Highland Council's new Skye, Ross and Cromarty Area Committee is Councillor Hamish Fraser, an Independent member who represents Ward 11 Eilean a' Cheò.

Councillor Fraser was elected at the first meeting of the Area Committee held at the Council Offices in Dingwall this afternoon (11 December 2013).

Speaking after the meeting he said:  “I was delighted to have the privilege of chairing the first meeting of the Skye, Ross and Cromarty Committee and I look forward to working with my fellow Councillors and in partnership with other key agencies to represent our communities as best as we can.”
