Thurso High School damage
A large section of Thurso High School roof has been blown off with the high winds.
Police and Highland Council staff are in attendance and Ormlie Road has been closed.
Some damage has been reported to private cars in the neighbouring area.
Highland Council’s Council Housing and Property Staff are currently assessing the damage and dealing with any issues they can at the site. The council’s TEC Services staff are also in attendance to close the road and assist emergency services attending. The school’s power supplies are being isolated as a precaution.
There have been no reports of human casualties.
