Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Monday 4 February 2013 are as follows:

Ross and Cromarty
Frequent showers of sleet, hail and snow driven by strong winds. 2cms of snow on higher routes. Continuing to patrol and treat as needed by priority. Posted: 04/02/2013 08:57

Caithness and North Sutherland
Mostly wet roads with wintry showers and very strong winds. Dusting of snow on higher routes, some frost in sheltered areas. Road surface temperatures marginal - treating all routes by priority. Posted: 04/02/2013 08:45

Nairn
1-2cm of fresh snow treating all high routes. Gusts of high winds but not causing any visibilty problems. Posted: 04/02/2013 08:13

Badenoch and Strathspey
2-3cm of fresh snow in the north of the area slightly less and wetter in the south all roads being treated by priority. High gusts of wind causing visibility problems for a period this morning but seems to have settled. Posted: 04/02/2013 08:05

Inverness
Snow lying on all high level routes. Gritting and blading all routes. Posted: 04/02/2013 07:41

Skye and Lochalsh
High winds overnight, no problems reported. Posted: 04/02/2013 07:25.

Lochaber, South Sutherland and East Ross 
No problems reported.
